She co-wrote the song along with Jon Egan ("Desperation Band") and Jason Ingram (is it just me, or does it seem like Jason co-writes 95% of all Christian music songs?). Let me highly recommend this CD. There are very few CDs where I think "wow, I like very single track". Usually it's pretty much hit or miss. These are all home runs. Really. Every track a winner. That's rare. Anyway, this is a wonderful song about the power and mightness of our God. Thank You, Lord

Vemala Valas travelled from Singapore to India to volunteer as a teacher to disadvantaged children from slum areas.

Making a real difference in the lives of the children she encountered lifted her and reminded her about the joy of investing herself in young lives.

But while she taught them and offered a listening ear, in her own words, she “learnt a lot more and … received a lot more” from the kids.

Shweta Chari was having dinner with friends in 2004 when she shared an idea to create a place where children could play.

Sharing that many children are forced to be labourers at an early age, sometimes in dangerous industries such as firecrackers, the electronics engineer wanted to help them regain their childhood.

"Simple toys can make them children again," says Shweta, who later that year, with the help of her friends, founded Toybank.

The NGO provides toys and a place to play, to kids whose families can't afford to buy what many consider a luxury.
