Romans 3:26-4:8

26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. 29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: 30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. 31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. KJV

1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

DREAMS COME TRUE like Jacob - drawing

Acts 2:17 "young men shall see visions, old men shall dream dreams"
Dreams can come true, and God wants us to give us dreams so they can come true. It happened to Jacob in Genesis, it can happen to us.
Walk down Jacob's ladder from your dream to reality and live it.

A drawing I did from getting visions as I listened to a sermon about dreams. I drew what I saw in my head. And the picture went along with the message.

YOUR TROUBLES HELP OTHER'S TROUBLES - drawing

What do we go through struggles and trials?
To help put our trust in God? Or to help others and to glorify God?
Its hard to focus on other people when we are struggling ourselves. But don't lose focus on that we need to be a light to the world.

I will listen to sermons and start getting visions in my head. So I draw what I see. My drawing becomes a picture that goes along with the message of the sermon.
This drawing came from a vision I got while we were praying for eachother.

GUESS WHO JESUS IS - Drawing

Guess Who Jesus is?
Matthew 8:28 "[Jesus] said unto them 'But whom do YOU say that I AM?'"
Jesus Christ is named so many things in the Bible. Peter, here, named Him the Christ. Jesus is asking all of us, "Whom do YOU say that I AM?"

This is a drawing that I did during a sermon at church about Who Do You Call Jesus? When I'm listening to the message I sometimes get visions in my head, then I start drawing what I see. It becomes a picture of the message of the sermon.

1 John 2:15-29

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

Breaking Bad (2 Timothy 3:13 & Selected Scriptures)

Breaking Bad is a multi-award winning, well directed American crime drama television series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. The main Character, Walter White was a respected mild-mannered high school chemistry teacher, who after receiving a terminal cancer diagnoses, makes a series of decisions that took him much further than he could have ever imagined.

Breaking Bad is by no means a Christian production, but the series from beginning to end is filled to the brim with Scriptural realities. The production testifies to multiple realities found in God's Word. Brother Cliff in this message, being very careful not to spoil any of the plot for those who may be watching or planning to watch, combines powerful images from the series, and puts together with a powerful message, intended to provoke, bring light, conviction, and insight.

This short sermon by Cliff Simon was made to show sinners their need for Jesus, and using a very popular award winning series as a hook to attract them.

Ever Heard Anything About God That Makes Sense

Too much of what passes today as "Christian" doctrine, i.e., "The Bible says...", makes no sense. When an inquiring mind points that out, the answer too often is, "Take it on faith." Whoa! Biblically defined, "faith" is not superstition, i.e., believing nonsense, but is rational trust in an intelligible promise. And GOD is THE GOD of PROMISE.

JUST TRUTH IT is dedicated to helping you understand the Word of God by providing accurate, sensible, inspiring, and entertaining biblical teaching so as to make known the Lord Jesus Christ, the Living Truth, and thus facilitate a worldwide community of mature Christians committed to following him by living the truth of God's Word and sharing it with others.

The Baptist Faith and Message: Part 3 & 4 - Man & Salvation

Genesis 3

God’s World Arranging Heart in a Florist

In this message we’re going to look for God’s world arranging heart through the vocation of a florist. Why did God make so many flowers (and so many flower lovers)? (We have a lot to be thankful for…)

“See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come.”
Song of Songs 2:11-12, NIV

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.”
Matthew 6:28-29, NIV

“God delights in diversity, and shows his rich provision for us, and all of his creation, in floral diversity. Remember, every plant has innumerable interactions with pollinators, fungi (that uptake the required nutrients for the plant), herbivores, and the humans that appreciate them at several levels (aesthetic, utilitarian - food production, medicine, theological - various plants are powerful symbols for many cultures, and teach us in-numerable lessons).”
Dr. Vernon Peters, Chair, Biology Department, The King's University College

“To the Father is attributed the beginning of activity, and the fountain and wellspring of all things; to the Son, wisdom, counsel, and the ordered disposition of all things; [and] to the Spirit is assigned the power and efficacy of that activity.” John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion

“Jesus is the way (things are) the wisdom (in behind and arranger of all things), the shaper and holder

Watch God Work...through His Word (GracePoint Church message on August 17, 2014)

The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward. Psalm 19:7-11 (NIV)

The New Age, part 5; C. David Coyle

The shortcoming of the New Age movement or philosophy is that its adherents actually believe that there is something "new under the sun." The world is the same, man's nature is the same, the rules that govern them are the same. They close their eyes to what is and expect to open them to what they hope it will be. That is misplaced faith.

Arresting Poverty by Pastor Dr. Darren Goodman

What would our world be like if poverty didn't exist? How would individual nations interact? Would commerce change directions? Governments might deliberate over issues that would really change our world. Pastor Dr. Darren Goodman's message Arresting Poverty will stimulate ideas that challenge status quo. Jesus said, "the poor are with you always". What is the poor? Is it confined to economic status?
