NASHVILLE, Tenn. — (November 6, 2026)
Grammy® Award winner Chris Tomlin celebrates the wonder of Christmas through music, storytelling and worship this holiday season with today’s release of his fourth full-length Christmas album, Good News Of Great Joy (Christmas Songs Of Worship) available across all digital service providers. The album’s radio single “It’s Christmas Time Again” is available across all digital service providers.
Tomlin’s children’s book, Good News Of Great Joy, will be available November 10. Tomlin brings it all to life beginning November 30 with the launch of his “Christmas With Chris Tomlin: Good News Of Great Joy Tour.”
“When I think about Christmas, I think about family, friends and the church gathering together to sing,” said Tomlin. “There’s something about Christmas and singing that is just so beautiful together…maybe it’s because Christmas started with a song…With the angels announcement: ‘I bring you good news of great joy.’ They began praising God, saying ‘glory to God in the highest.’ We’ve been singing that song ever since.
“You’ll see ‘Christmas Songs of Worship’ on every Christmas album I’ve ever made,” added Tomlin. “That’s my heart for this record. That it creates a spirit of worship within you.”
The 11-track album, Good News Of Great Joy (Christmas Songs Of Worship), features new songs “It’s Christmas Time Again” and “The Manger To The Cross,” a reimagined “Joy To The World (Unspeakable Joy),” and Dove Award-nominated “Holy Forever (Christmas 🎄).” With 600M global career Christmas streams, Tomlin is CCMG’s highest-streaming male Christmas artist, continuing his tradition of crafting songs of worship for the season.
The album shares its title with his new children’s book, connecting two ways for families to experience the meaning of the season.
Written by Tomlin, his children’s book Good News Of Great Joy invites readers to experience the wonder and majesty of the first Christmas night through an inspiring story about a brave, young shepherd. The book, illustrated by Scott Ligertwood, offers families an opportunity to gather, read and reflect on the story of Jesus’ birth. The book will be available at www.christomlin.com.
Tomlin, one of the most successful touring artists in the world, will launch his highly-anticipated “Christmas With Chris Tomlin: Good News Of Great Joy Tour,” taking place in some of the most historic theatre’s in the U.S. The scheduled first night of the tour in Birmingham (Dec 1) has already sold out and a second night had to be added November 30. Tomlin’s fans eagerly await his Christmas tours each year as they bring audiences together for memorable evenings of Christmas music and worship.
