Christian artist Jeremy Camp is resting comfortably, and his family expresses their gratitude for prayers from fans as the singer recovers from heart surgery.
Camp announced suddenly on his social media on Sunday March 10 that he was going to have surgery the following day, on Monday March 11.
He divulged that he had been struggling with Atrial fibrillation or (AFib). This is an irregular and often very rapid heart rhythm. (An irregular heart rhythm is called an arrhythmia.) AFib can lead to blood clots in the heart. The condition also increases the risk of stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications, so surgical correction needed to be taken care of right away.
UPDATE: Jeremy is now at home recovering from the surgery. He submitted this video update to fans, indicating that he will be back on tour very soon.

Wife Adie Camp commandeered Jeremy's social media to post this:
Just wanted to give you an update on Jeremy…
He’s resting and has to lay completely flat for a while. He’s enjoying being spoon fed by me. Lol!
Surgery was a success but it’ll take a few months to fully heal.
We are beyond grateful for how you guys have cared for us in prayer.
Also, so grateful for an incredible Dr and staff at Centennial.
“My strength and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Ps 73:26
