Ciao tutti!

My name is Linda Perillo, first generation Italian-American and third generation to the Perillo Tours legacy.  My dad was Mario Perillo, late founder and CEO of Perillo Tours.

80 years ago, my grandfather, Joseph, an immigration lawyer from San Giuseppe Vesuviano (Naples), Italy, together with his sons (Joseph Perillo and Sons), Mario, Joseph and Robert  rolled up the immigration carpet in the Bronx and did a reverse immigration, inviting the immigrants they helped to the new land, bring their newly documented families back to the Motherland to navigate their history.

Today, we celebrate eight decades of family and legacy of, which I am proud to be a part of every day.  Eight must be my magic number, because I have eight children, a career I have taken seriously for thirty years. But they say you never forget your first, and for me that is not my son, Devin, but travel…I never truly left the travel nest, and here I am.

Since Kevin McCullough first interviewed me three years ago on am970theanswer.com, our radio friendship was locked in and we have been providing listeners, and each other, with spontaneous cackles, gasps, honesty and from the gut love of radio and travel.

That Passport Life opens up another door for us to explore and have fun with more adventures in real time and give our listeners and readers a chance to giggle, cry and feel warm and fuzzy about the far and beyond, and their own backyard.

I am so excited to travel virtually every week to the great beyond, even if it’s not so beyond and we visit a cow sanctuary or grab a dog at Rutt’s Hut in the great state of NJ.

No matter where you go, or who you go with, travel is the best education, the widest eye opener, the most absorbant therapy ever.  The most lucid memories you will ever preserve are from travel.  Some experiences may seem chaotic, and at the time scary or frustrating, but as I have learned, they always make for a great story.

Kevin and I want you to imbibe, albeit virtually from your couch, your counter, your desk, the bucket seat in your car in all we bring you.

Close those eyes, and pretend you are on a virtual reality theme park ride, and we will take you anywhere you want to go.
